Community Service

Are you tired of hearing about hungry people and feeling helpless? If seeing trash on the streets makes you angry, then join our OFS family. Students attending Orchard Friends School participate in many service projects. Each month the students, with teacher guidance, select a service project. We have partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand, walked with the Walk for Autism, and adopted a zoo animal for care. Each year the projects are different and reflect the interests of our students and staff. Past service projects have included:

• Community beautification
  
• Fighting hunger
  
• Lending a hand to senior friends
  
• Holding a recycling contest
  
• Adopting a grand-friend
  
• Trimming a mitten tree
  
• Gift baskets for the homeless
  
• Preparing meals at Ronald McDonald House
